Head Chef Jake Platt has cooked at a number of notable places around the city over the past two decades, most significantly training under the great chef Stephen Markwick at the still-missed Markwick’s restaurant on nearby Corn Street. He’s also undertaken Stages in France, Italy and, more recently, New York.

In many ways, his classic French menu at Glassboat Brasserie brings him full circle – where the food has a simple, seasonal, ingredient-led approach and a strong focus on regional France and influences from the classic dining rooms of Paris and Lyon.
